HERE WE GO.....

OKAY so we put and offer in on a dental practice on Wednesday of last week, and by Friday it was a done deal. We are the new owners of a practice in Billings Montana, and we will start APRIL 1st. Yes that's right APRIL 1st! OH yes did I mention that gives us about 10 days to pack up this place and be on the road!! I am so not a fly by the seat of your pants kind of girl! But I am holding on (for dear life) and hoping that I do not kill over from anxiety attack before this is done! The truck comes on March 17Th ready or not!! I do have to say however that the Lord has blessed us so much. After trying to find something for so long and having several practices slip through our hands we finally found the ONE! And who would have thought to look in Montana. I am amazed at how fast things can be put together when it is the right one! ( My girls are only excited because we are moving to "HANNAH MONTANA"!)

This is so bitter sweet in so many ways! I have had to come to terms with my feelings a whole lot sooner than I wanted to. I will really miss this place! Kentucky has been the place our family has grown. When we moved here Kaitlyn was 2 1/2 and Jenna was 6 months old. Madelyn was not even a second thought! We have grown together here, cried together here, laughed together here, and met fabulous friends that filled in as family while we were away from ours. We have discovered new wonders like "blink blink bugs, and trees that flower abundantly( I had no idea so many trees flowered), humidity, tornadoes, ice storms, and currently 13 inches of SNOW!! I think I will really miss Kentucky. But I am excited to continue our little adventure, and find out what is next around the corner. Don't get me wrong I am also scared to death. To our friends we are leaving behind, we love you and will miss you terribly, please keep in touch and know that our door is always open. To our families we can't wait to be a little closer and catch up on lost time, and lost teeth! To Billings Montana Look out HERE we COME!!

  1. After seeing you guys today, I am still in shock. And deeply saddened. What on earth am I going to do without you, Cathy, and Jamie when you three leave me over the next few months?? I am REALLY happy for you though, and I can't wait to come visit. ;)

  2. I just wrote up a post, but it was gobbled up by cyberspace. I'll try again.

  3. Ok, I admit it. I do not understand the way things are. I am no longer mom2. I am now Rebekah. Better than "this site does not accept anonymouns comments." It's taken me 15 minutes and alot of typing to realize I'm clueless. I have a love/hate relationship with the internet. I'm thinking counseling might help, but my computer is noncommital.

I don't know whether to cry with relief and happiness for you or to cry for myself because you'll still be a whole day's drive away. But I am grateful you have found "the place." I know you'll be an asset to the community and the ward - - - "each and every one" of you, as Kaitlyn used to say.

In moments of practicality, I knew you probably wouldn't be moving back to Pocatello, hoped for something like Logan, but realized it could be considerably farther. But I still remember the days when Kaitlyn would come running to the door in her long white hooded sweater with her arms outstretched. Those were precious times. We looked forward to Sundays and Scout Mountain because we knew you would be coming. No matter how old your children and grandchildren get, it's always hard to let them go.
I know now that you are really "gone," something I've never wanted to believe. I hope we can find some practical way to bridge the distance between us. Encouraging that it can be driven. We'll have to see how it goes with David.

Hey, and since we are enlarging the kitchen (nowhere for a table, but you can't have everything - - ha ha) we can fit all the family cooks in and have fun putting a meal or snack together without tripping over each other when you come to visit. Hopefully within a year or two, we'll have the living and dining rooms enlarged, too. That'll be the day. Just imagine being able to watch tv here without having to sit on the piano bench!

Jessica, I'll pray especially for you because I know how careful and concerned you are about your family and making sure the details are taken care of. It's going to be a circus, but I know you'll get through it in one piece. Just remember to breathe! I cannot believe you're actually going to be "here" by the first of April. What a speedy change.

Enjoy the excitement and anticipation. A change this big happens only a few times in an entire lifetime. Take pictures.

    Love you always and forever.

Mom, Rebekah, Mom2, HeyYou, anything will do if it gets us together (smile.)

  5. Jess, I can't even believe how fast this all came about!! You mom just told me the news yesterday in chruch, and I almost scramed out loud in the hall, I was so excited! (It helped me get over the fact that we missed you in Montpelier by only ONE WEEK! Sheesh!) Jess, we are so happy for you guys, and I just knew "THE ONE" was out there somewhere! Who knew you'd have to put on so many miles to find it. But we know you have been blessed, and I feel especially blessed knowing that you are still "practically my sister-in-law" so our paths will continue to cross forever. (We just have to plan better...) :o) Good luck with the craziness of a quic, fast, BIG move, but what a relief to JUST KNOW. We'll be thinking about you, and hoping for a smooth transition.

Hey, since your dad got a boat, we plan to come visit again over the summer and take full advantage of it...as if we have any right. :o) (Your mom said, first they have to learn how to work it!) Ron and I really want to try to make it work so that we visit Tami & Shawn and Steve & Kami when you guys might be able to be there, too. Let's make it a date! See you at Bear Lake!!! :o)

  7. congrats Jess! I'm so happy for you guys! Good luck with the next few crazy weeks! You'll get thru it and it will be over before you know it and suddenly you will have lived in Montana for almost a year...that is how I have felt with our move, etc. At least you will be closer to us. Hopefully we can somehow get together!

  9. I won't even try to express how sad we are. This always happens to me! Hannah Montana, huh? I can't wait to hear about their singing and dancing to her songs. I am already planning our Yellowstone Park trip!

  12. Well, it must be official then. Our Yates family will be in Hanna Montana on April Fools day, (No really, April 1st??? your not kidding around now are you. I guess Mom and Dad will just have to go up there and just see if it is some kind of trick or something.
Could be a great advertizing ploy for a new practice you know.
" Diamond studded fillings for the first ten new patients." April Fools!
"Come in and Get your free sample of Glish toothpaste, the tooth paste with food particles in it for people who don't have time to eat before each brushing."April Fools!
Well, Grandpa Turner is glad for the April fools news anyway!
    Love ya. Dad
